To the Daily:
As a season football ticket holder for 41 years, it concerns me that the Big House may not be full this Saturday because of the fall student break. I’ve seen the Big House half full and believe me, it is not a pretty sight.
In the old days, the Athletic Department would sell tickets for $1 or $2 to high school students to help fill up the Big House. Time is short, but perhaps the Athletic Department would allow University students to turn in their tickets this week if they are not able to attend the game. These donated tickets could then be given to local middle and high school students on Saturday morning. Hopefully, the Daily can encourage the Athletic Department to go along with the idea and lead the way in getting the ticket donation rolling.
