5 cars broken into, damaged
Where: 1211 Kipke Drive
When: Monday at about 6:40 a.m.
What: Five University vehicles were broken into and were burglarized, the Department of Public Safety reported. The cars, located in the Transportation Services lot, all had broken side windows after the break-ins. Screwdrivers and lamps were taken from some of the cars. There are no suspects.
University van stolen from lot
Where: 1211 Kipke Drive
When: Monday at about 7:15 a.m.
What: A staff member reported that a laptop was stolen from his office sometime on Oct. 3, DPS reported. The laptop was valued at approximately $2,000.
There were no signs of forced entry. Police have no suspects in the investigation.
‘U’ employee threatened over child support
Where: Computer Science and Engineering Building
When: Monday at about 3:30 p.m.
What: A University employee said he was threatened by two of his wife’s relatives, DPS reported. The dispute occurred outside of the employee’s office and was concerning divorce and child support.
Staff member reports laptop stolen
Where: Walgreen Drama Center
When: Monday at about 2:15 p.m.
What: A staff member reported his laptop stolen from his office, DPS reported. There were no signs of forced entry. Police have no suspects.
