ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — A person with knowledge of the NCAA’s ruling in a case against the Michigan football program says the governing body’s final decision will be released Thursday.

The person, who spoke to The Associated Press on Wednesday on condition of anonymity because no one is permitted to comment on the case until NCAA announces its ruling, says the school is “very happy” with the final outcome.

Michigan challenged an allegation that coach Rich Rodriguez failed to promote an atmosphere of compliance with NCAA rules. The school accepted responsibility for four other allegations regarding practice and training time.
