MPowered — MPowered will host MTank — based on the TV show “Shark Tank” — which will feature student entrepreneurs pitching start-ups to venture capitalists from Drive Capital, Start Garden, Detroit Venture Partners and more for a chance to win prizes including $5,000 and a free week with Start Garden.

Black Student Union — The Black Student Union will host a photojournalism art exhibition highlighting the essence of racial identity at the University and the constant strive towards equality, inspired by the recent #BBUM movement at the University.

Bands — One of the headlining bands, Grizfolk, recently opened for Bastille on its European tour. Dan Henig, an Ann Arbor native, and LSA sophomore Sylvia Yacoub, a top ten finalist on NBC’s “The Voice,” will also perform. Additionally, there will be three students who won a social media competition to perform: Matt Daniels, San Cristobal and Silent Affair.

Start-Up Village — One area of SpringFest will give local start-ups an opportunity to feature their innovative products and services, including GuideU, an on-campus tutoring app, and Turtlecell, a cell phone case with embedded retractable headphones.

Mike Muse — At 1:30 p.m., Mike Muse, a member of the MUSIC Matters Board of Directors, will begin the day’s speaker series with a talk about the power of music and social change. Mike Muse is one of the nation’s top political fundraisers and co-founder of the record label Muse Recordings.
