The suspect involved in a stabbing incident on Wednesday morning and an altercation at the Target on South State Street on Monday night has been arraigned in court and charged with multiple counts of assault, according to an AAPD media release this afternoon.

The suspect, who was identified as Ann Arbor resident Noah Williams, was charged with assault with attempt to murder and assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder or by strangulation.

Williams allegedly slashed a 25-year-old female victim across the chest on an Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority bus on the 2200 block of Fuller Road. The victim has been released from the hospital. Williams was also charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and misdemeanor assault and battery for holding a pocket knife against the 32-year-old male victim’s throat during the assault at Target.

Williams is currently being held at Washtenaw County Jail and was given a $750,000 cash/surety bond.
