PASADENA – In what could be a test of the viability of the Bowl Championship Series, with a potential split National Championship on the line, the Michigan Wolverines, ranked fourth in the Associated Press and Coaches polls will face the No. 1 ranked Trojans of the University of Southern California in the 90th playing of the Rose Bowl tomorrow. Kickoff is set for 2pm (Pacific Time), in sunny Pasadena.

This is the 18th appearance by Michigan in this historically “granddaddy of them all” of bowl games. The Wolverines played in the Rose Bowl’s inaugural game in 1902, beating Stanford 49-0. The last time Michigan played in the Rose Bowl was 1998, where the Wolverines clinched a share of the National Title after defeating Washington State 21-16.
