Ruth Hiltner of Ann Arbor, along with other visitors, view a show at the planetarium in Angell Hall, projected onto a dome by a Zeiss ZKP 3/B projector. The red in the photo represents Ann Arbor’s light pollution and comes from a reading taken by those operating the planetarium.
Operators also are able to turn off all light pollution to see the entire night sky.
