No. 2 Duke 98, No. 8 Maryland 96: Shane Battier scored Duke”s last six points of overtime and blocked Maryland”s final shot, extending the Blue Devils” ACC road winning streak to 23 games.

Duke (7-0 ACC, 19-1 overall) trailed by 10 with a minute left when Jason Williams took over.

The sophomore guard scored eight points including two 3-pointers in a 13-second span to get the Blue Devils within 90-88 with 41 seconds to play.

Maryland (5-2, 14-5) had a final chance in regulation but Drew Nicholas” 3-point attempt from the corner bounced off the rim.

Notre Dame 78, No. 10 Georgetown 71: When Troy Murphy fouled out with the score tied and 4:28 to play, the Notre Dame All-American gathered his teammates in an under-the-basket huddle before leaving the court.

“I said we were going to win,” Murphy said. “I said they were going to be all right. We knew it was just a foul, and we had to play.”

The teammates responded. Notre Dame scored the next 10 points.

The victory gives Notre Dame (5-2 Big East, 13-5 overall), its first four-game conference winning streak since joining the Big East.

The Hoyas are now

4-2 and 17-2.

No. 12 Arizona 80, No. 20 Texas 52: Gilbert Arenas and Michael Wright scored 16 points apiece Saturday as Arizona won its sixth in a row, handing Texas, the Longhorns” worst loss of the season.

Richard Jefferson added 13 points for the Wildcats (14-5).
