Witnesses reported to the Ann Arbor Police that an unknown man entered their home on the 700 block of South State Street this morning around 6 a.m., officials said.
The man, described as being about six feet tall and 200 pounds, was last seen heading southbound on State Street wearing an orange sweatshirt and carrying a cardboard box.
Ann Arbor Police Lieutenant Michael Logghe said the suspect entered the home through an unlocked front door. After waking one of the residents the suspect fled on foot.
Logghe said nothing was reported stolen.
