1. A man based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina has donated more than $28 million to 27 colleges, the Charlotte Observer reported. But, for at least 17 of the colleges, there is a stipulation that Ayn Rand’s novel “Atlas Shrugged” is included in a course as required reading.
