1 A new dinosaur species was discovered in Mexico, the Associated Press reported. The plant-eating species is called Velafrons coahuilensis and was about the same size as a Tyrannosaurus rex. The fossil found dates back about 72 million years.

2 Anyone interested in trying out for the University’s football team can report to Schembechler Hall tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. for a tryout. Participants must have experience playing high school football and a physical exam form signed by a doctor.

3 The city of Obama, Japan is endorsing presidential candidate Barack Obama (D-Illinois) as the next United States president, the Agence France-Presse reported. Citizens are hoping he’ll help establish the small fishing town as a tourist attraction if elected.
