1. Sherwood Forest, the forest in which Robin Hood supposedly hid from the Sheriff of Nottingham, is quickly decreasing in area, The Associated Press reported. The forest, which is located in England, once covered more than 100,000 acres. Today, it is barely more than 450 acres wide.
