1: A report issued by Japanese scientists found that chimpanzees outperformed college students on short-term memory tests, The Associated Press reported. According to Kyoto University researchers, the 5-year-old chimpanzees responded faster and more accurately than college students on multiple memory tests.
2: A new International House of Pancakes, or IHOP, restaurant opened last week in Pittsfield Township near the corner of Carpenter and Ellsworth roads. The restaurant is open 365 days a year, offers carryout service and has expanded its menu to include a number of non-breakfast items.
