The Associated Press reports that a federal judge in Los Angeles
denied an attempt by Guns N’ Roses lead singer Axl Rose and
two former members to stop Geffen Records from releasing a
GN’R greatest hits compilation.

Rose and former band mates Slash and Duff McKagan claim that
they never gave Geffen permission to release the record.

A spokesman for Universal Music Group, which owns Geffen, said
that the album will be released as scheduled next Tuesday.
