Based on the Philip K. Dick short story “The Minority Report,” Steven Spielberg’s latest sci-fi adventure has the makings of something historic. As advertisers boast, the eminent Hollywood director teaming up with the biggest of stars, Tom Cruise, for a smart, futuristic thriller. However, Spielberg should have put a little more time into developing a cohesive, exciting script before running into production.
