Early Wednesday morning, the block ‘M’ on the University diag was painted green. In addition, “S” and “U” were spray painted in white alongside the brass letter.
This weekend, the Michigan football team travels to East Lansing to face No. 8 Michigan State. The Spartans have won five of their last six games against the Wolverines.
The block ‘M’ has served as an iconic campus landmark since being donated to the University by the Class of 1953.
