Not many people can say that they have addressed the Michigan
football team. Dennis Lee has.
The engineering senior from Saline got the opportunity after a
practice during the week before the Miami (Ohio) game. But
that’s a privilege of being the drum major of the Michigan
Marching Band.
Lee practiced for the position since the conclusion of last
season. Then he competed with two other contestants in front of the
entire band for the right to star each Saturday. He then won the
honor through a band-wide vote. He also mentioned that he’ll
be taking his hat off in a game coming in the near future.
Now Lee takes his luck as the first celebrity contestant in this
year’s Michigan Daily staff picks. Lee believes that Michigan
is going to cover in South Bend tomorrow. He also thinks
he’ll be spending his holiday break in Miami, when the
Wolverines run the table and head to the Orange Bowl. But for now,
let’s see how he does against the Daily prognosticators.
