When Bo Schembechler, Red Berenson and hockey associate head
coach Mel Pearson need to get a haircut, they always go to one
place. They head to Coach and Four on State Street between Hill and
Packard, where Jerry Erickson has been cutting Ann Arborites’
hair for 33 years. His shop features Michigan sports memorabilia, a
table made out of hockey sticks and many, many Playboy magazines.
And, if you’re itching to get your skates sharpened so you
can feel like Eric Nystrom on the ice, he’ll do that too. Now
Erickson, who has plenty of sports betting experience, will attempt
to maintain the celebrity lead.
