After every game, Lloyd Carr films “Michigan Replay”
with host Jim Brandstatter. With noon games, that’s not much
of a problem. But after a 3:30 game with three overtimes, the show
doesn’t get finished until well past midnight.

Brandstatter, an offensive tackle for Michigan in the early
’70s, is in his 25th year as host. He’s also Michigan
football’s radio announcer.
As for what it’s like to deal with Carr late at night
after Michigan drops a game, Brandstatter wouldn’t get into
specifics, saying: “Neither of us are particularly excited to
be there after a loss, but we always do the best job we
can.”
And the photo … well, it’s old, but we don’t want
to guess how old.
