After winning their quarterfinal matchup with the Iowa Hawkeyes yesterday, Michigan lost 74-60 Saturday to Illinois in game 8 of the Big Ten Tournament at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Wolverines faced a No. 1 seed team that, if they had defeated, would’ve made a strong case for Michigan to compete in the NCAA Tournament. There is still a slight chance the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee will include Michigan in its final brackets, to be announced Tomorrow, but that rests now solely on whether the committee deems the Big Ten conference deserves 4 bids.
