The Michigan women’s track and field team set a new meet and stadium record in the 4×1500-meter relay in Virginia on Saturday afternoon at the Colonial Relays.

Freshman Taylor Pogue, sophomores Rebecca Addison and Jillian Smith and senior Danielle Tauro ran a time of 18:04.14 in their first appearances of the outdoor season since running at the NCAA Indoor Tournament three weeks ago. The Wolverines beat runner-up Vanderbilt and third-place Virginia Tech by 10 and 49 seconds, respectively.

Despite being the Wolverines’ only representatives in Williamsburg, the quartet led Michigan to an 18th-place finish out of 40 schools.

Michigan heads west to California next week to compete in the Joyner/Johnson Invitational at UCLA.
