The No. 15 Michigan women’s rowing team traveled to Columbus for the OSU Invite on the Griggs Reservoir on Saturday to cap off the regular-season slate of its schedule.

The Wolverines took five of eight races with No. 11 Ohio State and two of four against No. 17 Washington State. And it was the second varsity eight that truly excelled in the hostile Ohio waters, beating both the Cougars and Buckeyes in the squad’s races at the OSU Invite.

Michigan also posted the quickest marker of any second varsity team in the morning session with a time of 6:43.10.

The novice boats also performed well, sweeping their events, including an over-10-second winning margin opened up against Ohio State in one race.

The Wolverines have just over two weeks left to prepare for the Big Ten Championships on May 15 at Indianapolis’ Eagle Park — the first championships held at a neutral site.
