Sophomore Amadou Ba of the men’s basketball team has been
selected to join the 2004 Big Ten Conference Foreign Tour team on
an 11-day trip through Europe.

The team, which will be coached by Penn State’s Ed
DeChellis, will play five exhibition games against top teams from
host countries. The venues include France and England.

The Mauritania, Africa native played 15 minutes in seven games
off the bench, pulling down 0.4 rebounds a game while being held
scoreless.

Ba, who speaks five different languages, was awarded
Michigan’s Travis Conlan Sportsmanship award this past
season.
