Many backers of the resolution and the #UMDivest movement filled the Rogel Ballroom of the Michigan Union Tuesday evening to show their support for the initiative. The CSG has limited the student speakers at the meeting to five in favor of the resolution and five against, though most students attending the meeting appeared to favor divestment.
The audience includes members of Students Allied for Freedom and Equality, which organized a mock eviction campaign in December to draw attention to Israeli settlements and Palestinian evictions from East Jerusalem.
