In reference to the article on snow travel for disabled students (Snowstorms make campus travel difficult for disabled,2/4/2011) and the follow-up letter (The ‘U’ failed to help disabled after storm, 2/8/2011), we totally share your frustration with the difficulty for individuals, in particular those with physical challenges, to maneuver over the snow-clogged crosswalks and street corners during the winter season.

The University of Michigan Council for Disability Concerns — an all-campus volunteer organization with membership open to everyone — is always alert to ways that we can improve accessibility for our entire campus community.
