College of Engineering sophomore Adrian Choy (left) and Sam Shingledecker, an LSA sophomore, work on a recycled art piece for Environmental Philanthropy Day – part of this week’s homecoming events. They were participating in an contest where participants were given recycled materials and one hour to make a piece relating to the environment. Adrian and Sam said most pieces focused on trees and the sun, but they instead made a hand giving the middle finder, with a sign saying “Fuck Pollution.” They called their piece “Sticking it to the (hu)man.”
