As part of the investigation into the West Quad fire early Thursday morning, University Police are trying to identify a man seen on a video recording.
“He’s been developed as a person of interest through our investigation,” Department of Public Safety Spokeswoman Diane Brown said of the individual on the video.
The man is listed as 18-22 years old, 5 feet 7 inches with a slim build and short blonde hair, according to a DPS security bulletin. He was last seen wearing a yellow T-shirt, a blue jacket, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
Brown said DPS is still unsure if one individual or a group of people set the fire.
A reward of up to $500 is being offered for any information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the fire.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call University Police immediately at either 911 or (734) 763-1131.
