Parking meter pole destroyed

Where: 900 Block of N. University Avenue

When: Monday at about 12:10 a.m.

What: A Michigan League staff member called police to report a parking meter and a nearby handicapped parking sign were lying on the ground, the Department of Public Safety said. The pole of the meter was broken, totaling about $200 worth of damage.

Ticket scalpers cited near arena

Where: Crisler Arena

When: Sunday at about 12:45 p.m.

What: Three people unaffiliated with the University were selling Michigan basketball tickets outside Crisler Arena, DPS reported. The subjects violated a regental ordinance prohibiting sales and solicitation on University grounds.

Student found short of breath

Where: North Campus Recreational Building

When: Sunday at about 9:55 a.m.

What: An NCRB staff member called police to report that a student was having difficulty breathing, DPS reported.

Fire alarm triggered

Where: West Quad

When: Sunday at about 11:40 a.m.

What: A fire alarm was intentionally pulled in the residence hall, DPS reported. Investigating police found no problems.
