Gas stolen from vehicle

Where: University Hospital Carport

When: Monday at about 12:15 a.m.

What: A University employee said gas was stolen from her car, the Department of Public Safety reported. She said her gas tank was half full when she parked the car in the morning but her gas guage was on empty when she returned. Police have no suspects.

Graffiti found on Kellogg Eye Center Wall

Where: Kellogg Eye Center

When: Monday at about 8:30 p.m.

What: A caller said he saw graffiti on the Kellogg Eye Center wall, DPS reported. The words “Sicko” and “Twist” were written on the building’s wall. Maintenance came and cleaned the wall shortly afterward. There are no suspects.

Hand of statue broken in dorm

Where: Martha Cook Residence Hall

When: Monday at about 10 p.m.

What: A University employee accidently broke the hand of a statue while cleaning it, DPS reported. The police report called the statue “expensive,” but it didn’t specify a value.

MIP issued in East Quad

Where: East Quad

When: Monday at about 4:30 p.m.

What: A student received a minor in possession charge after an officer became suspicious of her intoxicated behavior, DPS reported. The student was cited after nearly falling over and breaking material in an art gallery. The officer on duty had been patrolling the gallery.
