Snack machine smashed in

When: Sunday at about 12:30 a.m.

What: Someone broke the glass window of a food vending machine, causing about $30 in damages, the Department of Public Safety reported. The property in the machine was intact, and the responding officers gathered the items and brought them to the security office. DPS has no suspects.

‘M’ on Diag spray-painted

Where: The Diag

When: Friday at about 11:15 p.m.

What: The word “diversity” was spray-painted on the ‘M’ multiple times in hunter’s orange spraypaint, causing $100 in damages, DPS reported. DPS has no suspects.

Students smoke marijuana in car, get caught

Where: Lot NC-7, 1700 Broadway St.

When: Friday at about 1:15 a.m.

What: DPS officers observed two male students smoking marijuana in a parked car and arrested them, DPS reported.

W. Quad party results in seven alcohol citations

Where: West Quad

When: Saturday at about 11:30 p.m.

What: Five students and two visitors in a single room received minor-in-possession citations, DPS reported. The patrolling West Quad DPS officer discovered the party. The subjects were cited and released.
