Man arrested for stealing 2 class rings from Union

Where: Michigan Union Bookstore

When: Monday at about 12:25 p.m.

What: A man was arrested after police found two class rings and various other items in his possession, the Department of Public Safety reported. The vendor selling class rings from the Union Bookstore called DPS after seeing the man steal two rings worth $625. Police apprehended the found him with the rings, two iPods and a jacket that didn’t belong to him.

Ohio State ticket stolen

Where: Duderstadt Building

When: Monday at about 5 p.m.

What: A female student reported her football ticket for the Ohio State game stolen, DPS reported. The student said she left the ticket in a day planner and that it was only unattended for five minutes.

Bike vandalized near East Quad

Where: East Quad

When: Monday at about 3:35 p.m.

What: A female student claimed her bicycle was vandalized, DPS reported. An unknown suspect disconnected the brake line on the bicycle, which was locked near East Quad. The victim also claimed a bolt was missing from the bike’s handlebars.

Food taken from cafeteria

Where: University Hospital

When: Monday at about 10:35 a.m.

What: Someone stole a pair of $3.99 chicken salad sandwiches from the University Hospital, DPS reported.
