Prescription turns out to be a fraud

When: Tuesday at about 7:15 p.m.

What: A prescription at a pharmacy was discovered to be fraudulent, the Department of Public Safety reported. The prescription was filled before the sheet was found to be fake.

Subject urinates in the waiting room

Where: Emergency Room, University Hospital

When: Yesterday at about 3 a.m.

What: Police were called after a 41-year-old disorderly male unaffiliated with the University urinated in the waiting room, DPS reported.

Thief breaks into locked Jeep

Where: Lot SC-39, 2250 State St.

When: Tuesday at about 3 p.m.

What: A University staff member’s purse valued at $200 was stolen after she left it on the floorboard of their Jeep, DPS reported. The doors were locked and entry was gained through the Jeep’s soft top. Police have no suspects.

Blue graffiti found on carport walls, pillars

Where: Walgreen Drama Center

When: Tuesday at about 6:10 p.m.

What: Graffiti has appeared on the walls and pillars of the carport, DPS reported. Letters and names were spray-painted in blue. Parking maintenance cleaned up the graffiti.
