Engin Week raft building contest

What: A raft building competition in conjunction with National Engineers week. Each participant will be given straws, a rubber band, a Styrofoam cup and tape to build his or her raft. The student whose raft can hold the most weight will receive a prize.

Lecture on homeownership

What: Edward Gramlich, a former governor of the Federal Reserve Board and former interim University provost, will lecture on the risks of homeownership. Gramlich is a fellow at the Urban Institute in Washington, D.C.
