1 Conflict diamonds are associated with four main countries: Angola, Sierra Leone, Liberia and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Now they’re associated with Leo, too.
2 Elizabeth Bolden, the world’s oldest person, died yesterday at 116. Bolden died early yesterday morning at a nursing home in Memphis, The Associated Press reported. Bolden has held the Guinness World Record title since August.
3 Police are investigating a shooting at Oregon State University. A 19-year-old student shot a man in the thigh while he was rummaging through the garbage in an ally behind his house in October. Police found more than two-dozen weapons in the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity house, the Associated Press reported.
