-An article in yesterday’s issue of the Daily (‘U’ e-mail system not meant for emergencies) said students living in residence halls near the shooting received e-mail alerts from the Department of Public Safety at 10 a.m. last Thursday. DPS sent e-mail alerts to those students at 1:27 a.m. that day.
