Protesters from Ridgewood and surrounding towns gather during the March for Solidarity, organized by the MLK Committee and the Community Peace and Justice Forum, at the Ridgewood YMCA Wednesday evening.

Hundreds of people gathered in Ypsilanti, MI on June 6 to protest police brutality in support of #BlackLivesMatter. The protest remained peaceful and culminated in a dialogue between protesters and the Chief of Ypsilanti police, Tony DeGuisti, though not much was accomplished.

On June 2, protesters marched peacefully through Chicago’s North Side to protest the police killings of Black Americans. The march began at Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, and continued south on Clark Street through the Lakeview and Lincoln Park neighborhoods.
