Ann Arbor is known to host some of the biggest things in the country. But crouch down in certain parts of downtown Ann Arbor, and one will discover another world that has been overlooked by the sheer size of everything around it.
The Michigan eXploration Laboratory (MXL) works on building cube satellites in the FXB on North Campus. Cube satellites are one or a series of ten centimeter cubes; the size is chosen for ease of packing to launch into space.
The University of Michigan Police Department provides a ride-along program for students to see how officers operate firsthand. The goal of this program is to breakdown barriers between officers and the public, as well as to increase transparency. We sent a videographer along to learn more.
