This weekend I traveled to New Jersey to photograph the football game between Michigan and Rutgers. Besides getting closer with my Michigan Daily colleagues and taking great portfolio shots, being on the field was a completely new way to see the game. I realized these superhuman athletes we adore are real people, and the smiling cheerleaders are just there to have fun. Being under the lights, rain and all, was such a humbling experience.
