One week before the NCAA men’s basketball season is set to tip off, the Big Ten Conference released its schedule for the 2020-21 season this morning.

In what should be one of the most unusual seasons in the history of the sport, Michigan is set to open its season on Nov. 25 against Bowling Green before closing out its five-game non-conference slate with a home game against North Carolina State as part of the ACC-Big Ten Challenge. Conference play will tip off on Dec. 13, when the Wolverines will face off against Penn State at home. The Big Ten promises to be one of the nation’s premier conferences this season, with seven teams ranked in the initial AP Top 25 poll, including Michigan at No. 25.

According to an official release on its website, the “Big Ten men’s basketball teams will follow the same medical protocols that were developed by the Big Ten Return to Competition Task Force and announced on Sept. 16, 2020. These protocols include daily antigen testing, enhanced cardiac screening and an enhanced data-driven approach when making decisions about practice/competition.”
