Michigan basketball coach John Beilein won’t have to wait long to coach against his son.

The Wolverines announced their 2015-16 schedule Monday morning, featuring a season-opening exhibition against Le Moyne on Nov. 6. Beilein’s son, Patrick, was announced as the Dolphins’ new head coach in June.

Though the game means little, the elder Beilein worried about his wife’s allegiance in the game.

“A big question in this game will be, who will Kathleen root for?” he said in a release.

Other highlights of the 2015-16 schedule include the Battle 4 Atlantis in Nassau, Bahamas, an elite November tournament in which Michigan will square off against three teams in a field that includes Gonzaga, Connecticut, Syracuse and Texas.

The Wolverines will also visit North Carolina State on Dec. 1 and travel to Dallas to play Southern Methodist one week later.

Michigan will play eight home non-conference games in total, hosting Northern Michigan in the season opener on Nov. 13, Elon on Nov. 16 and Xavier on Nov. 20.

Games against Delaware State, Northern Kentucky, Youngstown State and Bryant University round out the Wolverines’ home non-conference slate.

Though Michigan went 16-16 last year, there’s plenty of reason for optimism in Ann Arbor, as the Wolverines return 12 of 13 scholarship players and will see no turnover in their starting lineup.

Michigan’s Big Ten schedule has yet to be announced.
