Heavy rains and potential flooding from Hurricane Patricia in Dallas have resulted in a cancellation of the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate. The Michigan men’s golf team was supposed to send five athletes to Texas on Saturday to compete in the two-day event on Monday and Tuesday.

The announcement came Friday, and the event will not be rescheduled.

This means that the record-setting fall season for the Wolverines is now over. Michigan placed in the top five at three of its four events. Sophomore Kyle Mueller continued his momentum from last season with three straight top-five finishes and shot a 64 at the MacKenzie Invitational in mid-October, which tied the program’s single-round record.

The Wolverines will be back on the course in February when they compete in the Big Ten Match Play Championship.
