For city residents and students alike, Ann Arbor is the real world, but as of this upcoming spring someone from the city could make it real for MTV viewers across the country.

As the 32nd season of MTV’s “Real World” commences, producers are on the lookout for fresh new faces from across the country, including in Ann Arbor. MTV announced last week that it is holding an open casting call at Good Time Charley’s on March 23rd from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Two other opening casting calls, in Chicago and San Franscio, are also listed on the casting company’s website.

Among other qualifications, which are listed on the company’s website, applicants must be 21 years of age or older, and look like they are between 20 and 24 years old.

Traditionally, cast members have been bold personalities who are unafraid to voice their minds. According to the casting call, they will be searching for people with strong character traits, and will be looking to put together a diverse and dynamic cast.

The selected few must be willing to live in a house with seven strangers, work with them and have their lives taped.

As the opening sequence of the show goes:

“Find out what happens… when people stop being polite… and start getting real.”
