Local authorities responded to several small fires off campus Saturday evening following Michigan’s loss to Michigan State.

The University’s Division of Public Safety and Security reported that three small fires had been extinguished off campus as of 8:15 p.m.

DPSS spokeswoman Diane Brown said there were no arrests.

On Vaughn Street, a couch burned in the middle of the road for a few minutes before firefighters from the Ann Arbor Fire Department extinguished the flames. One fire truck and several squad cars responded to the incident. Shortly after those flames were put out, officers told The Michigan Daily they were headed to respond to another report of a fire near South University Avenue.
