Trenton-based Mans Lumber & Millwork, a lumber showroom, hosted its grand opening Saturday afternoon. Mans Lumber moved into a 3500-square-foot space at 2275 South Industrial Highway, recently vacated by Ann Arbor T-Shirt Company.

Mans Lumber President Doug Mans said in a news release he is eager to expand and continue serving Ann Arbor residents.

“We have been honored to care for the needs of the Ann Arbor community for decades through our Canton facility, and this new location will provide our Washtenaw County customers with an improved range of services, products and support,” Mans said.

The grand opening included refreshments, prizes and a live radio broadcast by W4 Country 102.9 FM.

In opening the new showroom, Mans Lumber has been able to save former employees of Ann Arbor’s Fingerle Lumber, which closed its doors after over 87 years, from unemployment by hiring them to work at the new showroom.
