The Ann Arbor Police Department announced a $2,000 reward for information on the three men who spray-painted racist graffiti last month on a downtown mural.

"Free Dylann Roof, I Hate N------” was written in an alleyway on the 600 block of East Liberty Street the morning of Sept. 16.

On Sept. 27, AAPD released images obtained from video surveillance of the three alleged suspects. Detectives were able to verify the gender, race and clothing description of the men.

AAPD Detective Lt. Matthew Lige told MLive local businesses and donors came together to contribute to a reward fund.

Anyone with information is asked to call the department's tip line at 734-794-6939 or email TIPS@a2gov.org.
