Photo Gallery: Stay-at-home order in dorms
Living in the dorms this year has been a tumultuous ride. Almost every day I get a new email notifying me of a new COVID case. It seems like whenever I step outside to go for a walk I see someone moving back home or on the sidewalk with half their belongings, waiting to be taken to North Campus for isolation. Being a first-year, this is my only experience with Michigan. I don’t know what lounges and common spaces look like, or what a normal dining hall is like. I don’t even know what a regular gameday is like. I do what I can to make the best of this situation, but no matter what I do it always feels like I’m missing out on key elements of what previous freshman have all experienced.
