Pass the MiC Podcast: In Solidarity Part 1 & 2
In light of the recent New Zealand shooting and the false active shooter alert that disrupted the New Zealand Mosques Solidarity Vigil last Saturday and caused havoc across campus, this episode highlights the Muslim experience on campus and breaks down the Michigan in Color statement of solidarity. We address white people, people of color, the administration, the security and police forces, and the Muslim community. Our brave and courageous speakers are Umaima Abbasi (she/her/hers, junior), Maya Mokh (she/her/hers, sophomore), and Celine Nasser (she/her/hers, freshman). This is a two part episode due to heavy content. If you are interested in speaking in a follow-up episode, please email firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
We encourage you to take the time and resources you need to take care of yourself and your loved ones during this breach of humanity. In solidarity, Pass the MiC.
