Pass the MiC podcast: climate change

Tuesday, October 8, 2019 - 7:55am

Climate justice (n): is a term used for framing global warming as an ethical and political issue, rather than one that is purely environmental or physical in nature.

This week’s episode highlights Dhruv Tatke (he/him/his) from Climate Action Network, and Erik Anderson (he/him/his), an environmental engineer, who speak about climate justice and change. We break down the history of the Amazon and what has led to its state today, and speak about indigenous activists that mainstream media has ignored. If you are interested in joining Climate Action Movement, email dtatke@umich.edu. Our creative of color, Emmen Ahmed, is currently a masters student in the School of Public Health. She speaks about her process for visual art. You can see her work at emmenjaan.com, or @emmenjaan on Instagram. Our episodes air every week on Mondays.
