Three men arrested for stealing cash, wallets during Wisconsin game

Three men were charged and arraigned Monday for pickpocketing attendees of the Michigan vs. Wisconsin football game Saturday afternoon, and are still in jail as of Monday night. 

The thieves, who stole wallets, cash and credit cards near the beginning of the game, were two 53-year old men from Illinois and one 54-year old man from Missouri. University Police identified six victims thus far and are continuing to investigate the case. The three conspired together, according to University Police spokeswoman Diane Brown.

One of the Illinois men was charged with one count of larceny while the other was charged with three counts of larceny, three counts of possession of stolen financial transaction devices and seven counts of receiving and concealing stolen property. The Missouri man was charged with one count of larceny, one count of possession of stolen financial transaction devices and three counts of receiving and concealing stolen property.

A bond was assigned to them for $25,000 cash. It has not yet been posted.
