Third West Quad armed robbery suspect arrested
The third and final suspect in the armed robbery on Dec. 4 in the University of Michigan's West Quad Residence Hall has been arrested. The other two suspects were arrested and arraigned last Sunday. The original Division of Public Safety and Security crime alert has been canceled.
According to a press release from DPSS, 19-year-old Takale Ezell, of Wixom, was arraigned Thursday. Ezell faces charges of armed robbery, for which he could be sentenced to life in prison, and larceny in a building, a 4-year felony.
Ezell joins Brian White, 18, of Novi and Deandre Jetter, 19, of West Bloomfield, who were both arrested on Sunday. White and Jetter both face four counts: two counts of armed robbery, first-degree home invasion and larceny in a building. Home invasion of the first degree is an additional 20-year felony.
Ezell, White and Jetter are accused of taking property and brandishing a handgun during an encounter with three student victims in West Quad. Two of the victims were allegedly assaulted during the encounter.
